CUA60415 Advanced Diploma of Creative Product Development - Directing Major
Directors are key players in developing a range of creative products - among them, theatrical performances, films, TV commercials, web series and more.
This course will introduce you to the key skills of the director: how to work with actors, how to conceive a vision for a work, how to develop your own aesthetic, how manage projects, and more. You will have opportunity to direct for both theatre and screen, learning about both art forms, and then have a chance to opt for either film or theatre in your major work.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is for people who are interested in the art of directing, for stage, screen and other media. The director's role is to shape a performance project into a unified whole. Directors require good leadership skills, organisational skills and creative skills.
Applicants should have completed Year 12 or otherwise be able to demonstrate the capacity to complete this course.

This course runs on-campus at Perform Australia headquarters in Canberra (11 Whyalla St, Fyshwick ACT).
This course is run one year full-time, in a face-to-face format.
