Let's get your young person started with Company acting classes in NSW!
When you become a member of Company, you'll be applying and refining your acting skills in a wide range of theatrical and cinematic styles. You'll be learning through scene work, monologues, acting for camera, mask and mime, and character development. You'll dabble in a range of genres, from comedy through to Shakespeare, and you'll work with scripts, improvise scenes, and explore the integration of voice and body ("the actor's instrument") on stage.
We'll be introducing a screen acting component to your child's class from Term 2. Children will work on a short scene with other children in their class, which will be rehearsed through the term and this will be filmed by a videographer towards the end of the term. Parents and carers will be able to access and download the edited scenes as a memento of the children's work about four weeks later, from a closed Youtube site. (In the last week of Term 2, the students will also perform their scenes live in class for parents and carers.)
This is a wonderful way to introduce our young people to the screen production process and apply their acting technique beyond the stage.
This class is $335 for a 10-week term (based on ACT public school terms).
