In this course, you will learn:
# How to take your acting technique further
Building on the foundation you laid in the Certificate program, you'll learn additional techniques to add to your toolkit
# To develop more confidence as a screen actor
By participating in 100 hours of scene work, making films and collaborating with CIT students, you'll develop confidence as a screen actor.
# To master your theatre skills
You'll participate in at least six live performances on stage, using all your theatrical techniques, and exploring a range of genres, including Australian works, Shakespeare, Absurdism, and many others.
# How to devise new works
You'll learn how to create a new work from scratch through an amazing process of collaboration
# How to speak in a range of accents
Master American, British and foreign accents to diversify the roles you can play and where you can work
# How to think of yourself as an actor and a businessperson
You'll learn about the business of acting - how to find work, how to promote yourself and your brand, how to raise money for projects, and how to work as a freelancer.
# To develop a stronger voice
Continue to gain control over your voice, improve your articulation, vocal resonance and projection; also learn voiceover artistry and singing.
# Auxiliary skills for the actor
Explore additional skills like stage combat and TV presenting, so that you can diversify your employment prospects

To apply for this course you must have completed a minimum Certificate IV level course in acting. Please see our 10197NAT Certificate IV in Acting for Stage and Screen.

If you have completed the 10197NAT Certificate IV in Acting for Stage and Screen within the last two years you must come in for an interview with the Principal. If you are transferring from another institution, or completed the Certificate more than two years prior, you may need to present a monologue in addition to your interview.
