Drama and musical theatre are fun, enriching activities for children and teens that enhance every aspect of their lives.
Kids have joined our classes for many reasons. Perhaps you have a child who:
Loves movies and TV and dreams of becoming an actor
Is a storyteller at heart, always creating imaginary worlds
Needs to build a friendship group outside of school
Needs to develop self-confidence and communication skills
Needs techniques to overcome anxiety
Wants to feel connected and part of an ensemble
Is highly creative, being into music, visual arts, crafts and other art forms - drama is one more string to their bow
Is looking for "their thing" - and hasn't found it yet in sports or other activities they've tried
Is just curious about acting, and wants to give it a go
...Any one of these things will be helped by one of Perform Australia's drama programs.
Through games, acting exercises, group work, and performance, your child will increase their communication skills, their creativity, their team skills and their self-confidence.
What parents say about our classes
"Studying drama has been tremendous for our son Caelan's self-confidence, his imagination and added greatly to his boundless sense of fun!"
"Our daughter has been attending here for three years now. The programs, both weekly and school holiday programs, have been outstanding. She has developed some wonderful skills and confidence. Drama is her thing, her place where she can just be herself. Thank you to all the staff who have had such a positive influence in her development."
"My daughter was really keen to attend Perform but on her first night was so nervous I couldn't even get her through the door. One of the girls in the class came outside and was so lovely and reassuring that my daughter finally went in. At the end of the class she was so excited and happy and said she wished the class went for two hours! ... I would highly recommend Perform Australia to any parent considering an acting class for their child. They are very professional and will instill in your child a real sense of confidence."
