Daniel Kirkby
Teaching Artist
Daniel Kirkby is an actor, comedian and singer based in Brisbane.
He holds a Bachelor of Musical Theatre from the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University. Originally from Perth, Daniel started his acting training with a Certificate course in Music Theatre at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) before moving to Brisbane to further his training.

His credits include performing as Roderick Usher in Australia’s biggest ever immersive show – A Midnight Visit, Dromio of Ephesus in Apt.13’s production of Comedy of Errors, Beadle Bamford in Fresh Bread's production of Sweeney Todd, several roles in Fun Home with the PIP Theatre, Doug Simmons in Gutenberg! The Musical, and Warren in the Brisbane premiere of Ordinary Days.
He also sang supporting vocals at the 2020 AFL Grand Final and works as a writer/performer for The Head Bros 10 Act Cabaret.

In addition, Daniel's production company, Second Beat Theatre, has had sold-out runs at the Brisbane Powerhouse.

Daniel is also actively involved in Brisbane's improv scene, performing frequently at Big Fork Theatre.
