Expressions of Interest

If you are an established teaching artist, and you'd love to share your skills with our students, please reach out!

 

We are looking for established artists who can teach on different topics from the fields of acting, musical theatre, directing, filmmaking, writing, and producing.

Essential

All our teaching artists must: 

• Know how to teach (as opposed to act or direct) - If you've had some teaching experience before, that's fantastic. If you are new to teaching, please let us know, and we may be able to train you. 

• Hold a Working With Vulnerable People card, or the willingness to obtain one

• Hold a qualification in acting or your particular field, or equivalent professional experience

• Have recent professional performance or production credits across stage and/or screen and be currently connected with industry 

• Be able to create a good rapport with adult students of any age (our age groups vary wildly - in our adult programs we can have students as young as 16 through to their mid-70s!).

 

BUT – really, we're looking for a team of people who:

• Are artists at heart

• Wholeheartedly support our company values of Passion, Industry, Community, Generosity, and Story

• Are willing to support our ethos of building students up, by working with their strengths, rather than tearing them down to “rebuild” them

• Are willing to provide the highest quality education, even if you are only teaching for us a few hours a week.  When you join Perform Australia, in our eyes, you become a vital contributor to the lives of our students.
