Ruby Laing
Teaching Artist
Ruby Laing is a young actor and creative with a deep love for the performing arts. She has been involved in Perform Australia’s drama and musical programs since 2021, most recently taking the stage as Miss Honey in Matilda the Musical JR (2026).
Throughout this time, Ruby has developed a strong stage presence and a flair for character work. She has performed in several notable productions, playing Mrs Pinkerton in Pinkalicious (2024) and Dragon in Shrek the Musical JR (2025). Ruby is also passionate about working with younger actors to help them find their own creative voice in the performing arts.
Beyond the stage, Ruby enjoys crewing and screenwriting. She is currently working as the Multimedia Designer for Narrabundah College’s Performing Arts production, Hibernation (2026). Ruby Laing is a dedicated and enthusiastic performer who always brings energy and curiosity to every project. She looks forward to continuing her creative journey and exploring new opportunities across both theatre and film.
