Perform Australia's musical theatre children's program. Directed by James Scott
The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympatheic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver's chances of discovering the true love of a family.
Presented by Perform Australia's Advanced Diploma of Performance Students Directed by Clare Moss
Trespass is a hybrid arts event, a newly devised piece of promenade theatre that explores the act of crossing boundaries.
It will be performed at Hotel Mottainai, a unique venue in Canberra City Centre which is both an art gallery and a place to stay, repurposing unused office space.
Please join local artists and our Advanced Diploma of Performance students who have created this work in association with their tutor and director, Clare Moss, who is also co-founder of the Hotel Mottainai initiative.
Performathon 2022 is a livestreamed performance for our ACT and NSW children's classes. Each class will perform a play with a 'endeavour' theme.
You can watch this performance at home, either live at the time of the broadcast, or afterwards.
That means that your friends and relatives outside of Canberra can also buy a ticket to watch the show. But even better, your child can watch themselves perform once they go home, after the event. Students will perform at our new Griffith studio, and from there, their play will be broadcast via an online streaming platform.
Once you purchase your ticket you'll be sent details of how to access the livestream.
