Perform Australia's Academy Program presents “Stupid Is Just 4 2Day” by Lindsay Price, and directed by James Scott, performed by our Year 8-10 students.
We all have moments of earth-shattering, mind-numbing, crawl-into-a-hole-and-die stupidity. It's inevitable and impossible to avoid. You will connect and commiserate with these characters, who crash into displays, cheat on tests though they know it's wrong, do things they were explicitly told not to, fart in front of the whole school, and shave their heads to impress a girl…
Following the play performance, the students will also present some song and dance from their choral and movement programs.
Venue: Mill Theatre, Dairy Road Fyshwick
Dates: 9th-11th May 2024
Ticket prices: $15
Past Shows & Screenings
The ‘Don’t Look Now' Impro Show is presented by Perform Australia's Advanced Diploma of Performance students.
Featuring a series of popular improvisation games and scenes, this show may leave you laughing or crying - who knows? There's no script!
The premise of "Don't Look Now!" is simple yet tantalizing: the audience dictates the course of the performance. With nothing but a suggestion thrown into the air, the actors dive headfirst into a whirlwind of creativity, weaving together scenes and characters on the spot, guided only by their instincts and the energy.

It’s the vibrant 1920s, complete with Ziegfeld girls, raccoon coats, ukuleles, goldfish swallowers, and gangsters! Polly Pepper, a young flapper, is about to turn 18 years old and will then inherit an extraordinary diamond necklace. She is planning a wacky birthday party and is inviting all her friends. Buck Wayne, Polly’s new boyfriend, wouldn’t miss the birthday celebration for anything, even if he has to land his private plane on the lawn of the polo grounds. But watch out, trouble’s in the air! Mobsters are about!
